He Was Appointed Heir of All Things

Hebrews 1:1-2

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.

The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God was appointed the heir of all things. Not some but all. Heir means He inherits everything from the heavenly Father. In the Old Testament times, God spoke through the prophets about the Lord Jesus Christ and how He had made Him the heir of all things on Earth, in Heaven and even all things underneath the Earth. There is no where in this universe that he does not inherit.  He inherits all things He was appointed the heir by the Father in Heaven. Today, you hear His voice even though He is seated with the heavenly Father at His right hand. How do you hear His voice. His sheep shall hear His voice. They will hear His voice and follow Him. He is the Good Shepherd. All things point to Him. Everything is in Him alone. That's how God the Father has made things to be.All authority has been given to Him alone. He rules the Earth, the Heavens and even rules things that are underneath the Earth. He knows everything that is taking place on this Earth. There is nothing that He does not know about whats happening in this universe. God made the universe through Him and for Him alone.

Psalms 2:6-12

"I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill."

I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father.

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.

You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery."

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.

Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Now, read the passage below where the words sound similar but it is referring to those who have successfully overcome the sinful nature of the Devil in them and have run the race of Christformation till the end.

Revelation 2:26-28

To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations — that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’ —just as I have received authority from my Father. I will also give that one the morning star.
