Noah, Daniel, and Job
(Christformation in you Ministries)
Introduction
Ezekiel 14:12-14 (New International Version)
The word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its men and their animals, even if these three men—Noah, Daniel and Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD.
Noah, Daniel and Job were three true servants of the Lord in the Old Testament times. They clung on to their God in very adverse conditions and situations that they were placed in by God.
They were unusual men during their times, for they had this unwavering faith in their God in whatever they did. All odds were against them and they came out of it stronger in God in whom they have trusted.
There were other men and women too, but in these verses above, God remembers these three faithful men. God remembers all those who are true to Him and reminds His people whenever they have forgotten history. History is not just about statistics and facts, but it is about people- real people, who lived real lives before us. The most important truth about these men was that God was real to them. They had real encounters with the living Sovereign God.(To be continued)
