You must quit sinning now, for whoever names the name of Christ must turn away from every wickedness and sin known to man.
Titus 2:11-14 (New International Version)
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
We might find it hard to do this, but we must practice it daily without fail.We must exercise ourselves with this spiritual exercise daily to live a godly life that's pleasing to our God and Savior. We cannot please the Lord by obeying the sinful nature of the Devil in us. We have to put to death the misdeeds of the sinful nature in us so that we do not continue sinning.
We have to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit in us instead. We have to listen and obey the Lord through the Holy Spirit bringing the word of God to us.It's a life of obedience that God requires from us.
1 Timothy 4:8 (New International Version)
For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come
