The third character of Christ is servanthood.
Isaiah 42:1-4 (New International Version)
Isaiah 42
The Servant of the Lord
1 "Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen one in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him
and he will bring justice to the nations.
2 He will not shout or cry out,
or raise his voice in the streets.
3 A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
4 he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth.
In his law the islands will put their hope."
Again, in the New Teatament it was said of Him:
Matthew 20:28 (New International Version)
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Being a true servant is about giving-up and not amassing or accumulating riches or the things that delight you in this world.A true servant in the end has nothing he cherishes except God and His Christ.He must have gained Christ fully or Christ must have been formed in Him fully-the both are the same.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the true Servant of the Living God.There is none other.If you need to see a true example of a servant of God ,look unto Christ and not anywhere else,you will be cheated and disillusioned later, if you do.It might be too late by the time you had realized that you have looked-up unto the wrong 'servant'.
Only look-up to Christ as the true example of a servant and you will be saved.
There are those who claim to be 'servants of righteousness' but are causing more harm and damage to His name.We must be on the look out for these ones.They would claim to be great 'teachers' of God's word and will group amongst themselves to be strong and invincible in the eyes of men.They will threatened the sheeps and God's true servants, as though the apostleship was entrusted to them only.They are 'workmen' who work to fill their stomachs,self-pride and greed for more in the pretext of serving Christ.The are children of the devil who masquerades as the 'angel of light'.This is 'Babylon'- the unity of the wicked.Don't be fooled by them.Watch it!
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (New International Version)
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
We are going to witness the end of things soon and then they will brought into the actual light and for the unrepenting ones there will be great gnashing of their teeth for eternity.Even now they have begun to gnash their teeth ,I know.
Why do we say all these,simply because,these masqueraders choose to live like kings and queens on this earth,lording over men,enjoying the pleasures of this world,bathing in pomp and glory of men,seeking the praises of the world in what they do,not even bothered about seeking the praise from God.They would only live for what their eyes could see.These are the true enemies of Christ.They live in contrary to what Christ told them to do if they were His servants.They have turned away from Him.
