Psalms 9:4-6
For you have upheld my right and my cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge. You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever. Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.
The greedy and the covetous are creating more poor people on Earth. This displeases the LORD because He is the God who provides for all. When man do not fear or revere Him anymore, He will step in as the righteous judge. He always sits enthroned as one. He will rebuke first but punishment will follow, if the wicked disregard His warning. Because of the cry of many, He will hear from heaven and act justly. The wicked bring God's judgment upon themselves by being rebellious and stubborn in their sins. In the past, why did some cities got uprooted with even the memory of them or their name not remembered anymore. Like Nineveh, we do not hear of them again.Sodom and Gommorah are the others we know. There are nations too that have fallen into God's hands for their unjust ways. He is a righteous God. Endless ruins can come suddenly. Think of Egypt. Recall the plaques that hit that nation.Think of Babylon. Recall Nebuchadnezzar. What displeases the judge of this Universe? Pride and arrogance? Greed? Covetousness? All forms of injustices, where do they come from? The sinful nature of the Devil in man. Will God just ignore them when they are hurting mankind? Think of Noah's time. How selfish did they become before God had to wipe out the world with the great flood? Wasn't it the selfishness of the sinful nature of the Devil in man that caused God to pour out His wrath on mankind and destroy the wicked? How long will He allow the affairs of man to go on unjustly on Earth? Will He not put a stop to it? The Lord Jesus Christ promised us that He would.
Matthew 24:12-22
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but whoever stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. "So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel--let the reader understand-- then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. "If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
Greedy and covetous organizations on Earth will be reduced to nothing because of the misery they have caused the poor. Greedy and covetous individuals will be anihilated because of the sufferings they have caused for the poor of the Earth. A situation worst than that during the times of Noah's or Lot's is about to visit us. God has heard the cries of the poor. He has seen how evil the sinful nature of the Devil can be. Now you are about to see the power of our God demonstrated on Earth. You have always thought that there was no one to question you. You are wrong.
James 5:1-6
Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.
