Matthew 10:12-16
As you enter the home, greet those who live there. If that home welcomes you, give it your blessing of peace. If it does not, don't bless it. "Some people may not welcome you or listen to your words. If they don't, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town. What I'm about to tell you is true. On judgment day it will be easier for Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town. "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. So be as wise as snakes and as harmless as doves.
It's God who scatters the 'wolves'.'Wolves' are stubborn beings. They are rebellious by the sinful nature of the Devil in them. They are conscious about their own territory. Actually, they are very insecure beings. They do not feel secure and safe, so they react. They group together to guard their pack. Plain survival instincts, nothing more. They want all the food for themselves. That's what they live for. If you cross their path, they want to attack you. It's in their nature. It's no ordinary nature. It's the sinful nature of the Devil in them that makes them feel insecure.
How do you react to wolves who come in a pack? They are only strong when they appear in a pack. Individually they have got nothing. Snakes are different. They seldom appear in a pack. That's why the Lord said be "wise as snakes" What is being "wise as snakes"? Snakes they hiss and spill out their venom. So be wise, be ready to match that hissing and the venom but be harmless as doves. Never harm anyone like doves. Doves do not harm anyone. They represent the peace of God. They represent the divine nature of Christ. Snakes represent the sinful nature of the Devil. When you are a born again child of God in Christ, you have both these natures in you. One of it, you are suppose to put to death. You must consciously put to death the sinful nature of the Devil in you once you are born again. You have God the Holy Spirit to help you with this. God knows how to help you put it to death and that's why He sent His Son to this Earth. He showed us the way of victory over the sinful nature of the Devil through His death on the cross. Put it to death.
When you meet people who act out of their sinful nature, tell them clearly that you too still have the sinful nature of the Devil to overcome. The battle is still on. Ask them clearly, do you want me to use the sinful nature of the Devil against you or the divine nature of Christ? If they insist on attacking you with the sinful nature of the Devil in them, give them their own medicine or venom. Tell them you have been there right where they are, now. But, be harmless as doves. do not have any evil intentions like they arrogantly have. Their own evil they spill will kill them eventually. You annihilate them with their own venom and poison. Actually, you don't, but God annihilates them as you commit them to God. God gives them a lot of chances before He decides to annihilate them. He is a fair and just God.We are not that fair and just. We must learn from Him. If, we want to be in that position, we must have full formation of Christ's divine nature in us first. We do not have Christ's divine nature formed in us when we are racists, or are greedy or covetous or proud and arrogant like the Devil. The Lord Jesus Christ did not have all these in Him. So, how come you still have all these in you, after all these years, if you truly belong to the Lord Jesus Christ? You have all the nature of the Devil in you, but you claim you follow Jesus Christ our Lord. Whom are you trying to fool?
Revelation 3:21-22
'I'll give those who overcome the right to sit with me on my throne. In the same way, I overcame. Then I sat down with my Father on his throne. 'Those who have ears should listen to what the Holy Spirit says to the churches.' "
