Revelation 19:7-9
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!' "And he added, "These are the true words of God."
Nothing should stop you from preparing yourself. Bear in mind that you are preparing yourself to meet The Bridegroom and not someone else not worthy of your preparation. You are not preparing yourself for yourself either. At weddings on this Earth, we prepare ourselves for ourselves. We are worried how good and expensive we will look, even though we may have looks that nobody wants to take a second look. Here it's different. We prepare ourselves for Him alone not for someone else. Our preparation for Him is different. We prepare ourselves for the Bridegroom to see how much we have become like Him with our Christformed born again spirit, transformed mind of Christ and Christconformed imperishable body. Nothing to do with looks or expensiveness. Not on how much you can or cannot afford. We can't do final touch-ups! It's how much you have sown with your obedience all along your given journey. There are no short-cuts where you can do a quick make-up. No way! "Fine linen, bright and clean" is the full Christformation. There is no known short-cut to full Christformation. Full Christformation brings about full transformation of the sinful mind into the mind of Christ and the full Christconformation of the imperishable body at God's right hand. It will fully be like Christ's eternal body, for that's what Christconformation means. Why all this full and detailed preparation? To make herself (the Bride) ready for the wedding of the Lamb. Everything while on Earth pointed to the wedding of the Lamb. There is so much preparation for the wedding of the Lamb. The Bride has to be fully ready from within to without. There will be no last minute touch-ups like we see in weddings on Earth. You can't paint a face and say everything is done! This preparation starts from very deep--deep inside the born again spirit, where others cannot see, understand or judge except the Christformed person and the LORD knows what occurs inside. The Christformed person saw the need for full Christformation and wasn't careless about sowing towards it. He or she were willing to pay all the price for full preparation after having had counted the full costs of choosing to do so.
Ephesians 5:25-30
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-- for we are members of his body.
