Hebrews 5:7-10 (New International Version)
During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the true 'Reverend'' because of his reverent submission to the will of the Heavenly Father. After He had completed being the perfect example of obedience to the Heavenly Father through the completed work on the Cross, He came alive and is seated at the Heavenly Father's right hand to intercede for us that we too would obey the Heavenly Father just as He did. He is interceding that the same obedience of his be formed in us through our faith in Him.Obedience to the Heavenly Father is the first nature of his that should be formed in us. The second nature of his that should be formed in us is His humility. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Perfect Intercessor. There is no one else who is as perfect as He is,except for the Holy Spirit on this earth, who intercedes for us on this earth to Christ. He reveals what we couldn't express to Christ our Lord and Heavenly Father.
Philippians 2:5-11 (New International Version)
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
