Ephesians 1:18-23
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
We need to pray for the right thing not for the wrong purposes in life. We do not pray for extra power in this world to be extra rich, so that we can have extra money to spend and all our families are kept happy above the rest of the people. That makes you feel good above the rest. So, you can look down on the rest of the people not your own, for the rest of your life. What a wretched human being you are! You will never learn the truth about prayer.
Here, apostle Paul is concerned for the people of God; if the body of Christ of which Christ our Lord is the Head, is full of Him in every way. That is what we are here for; to be full of Him not full of money, fame, possessions, power craze over others, be control-freaks and so on. We do not spend our time in prayer for this. You will surely fail if you do this. Who is going to answer such prayers? I do not forsee God answering such prayers. This is more paganistic in approach and how you degradingly view prayer and God. The riches of His (Christ's) glorious inheritance is full Christformation in you. That is, the full formation of His complete divine nature in you. That's our eternal inheritance and riches in Christ.
Are you praying for the right thing or wrong things all the time? I don't see any change. In fact, the Devil and the demons are not bound , they are more on the loose. It shows very clearly that God doesn't hear your prayer anymore. You have been praying for the wrong things. You heart is not right before God. You can pretend before men but you cannot pretend before God. Where are the answers, if you are truly praying.? The Devil seems to be having the upper hand over you. It doesn't seem like you have been praying to the Almighty One "who placed all things under the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ". It seems more like the opposite happens each time you pray. What is going on? Stop your pretence, now! When there is no power in your prayer, don't claim you have it. You don't.! You are only confusing everybody! Enough of your deception. There is no power in your prayer.
James 4:1-10
What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely? But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
