Hosea 1:2
When the LORD began to speak through Hosea, the LORD said to him, "Go, take to yourself an adulterous wife and children of unfaithfulness, because the land is guilty of the vilest adultery in departing from the LORD."
The vilest adultery is departing from the LORD. How do you depart from the LORD? In your heart you think that pleasing the sinful nature of the Devil that gives you temporary pleasure is better than pleasing God the Holy Spirit who dwells in you. You begin to go to the world for your pleasures. You want the money and position that the world worship and adore. You succumb to covetousness, greed, pride, arrogance, cheatings through businesses, lying, stealing, swindling, misappropriating monies. gambling, burning with jealousy, envy, selfish ambition, factions, violence, gansterisms, rude-behaviour, and all other kinds of vices. The most vilest of all sins is turning the work of God into a money-generating business and to elevate personal standing and status in society using all the opportunities at your disposal. Using His name to rake in money and power for yourself and your family. You think you are doing God's work and that He has made you the 'caretaker' of His work on earth. I don't think so! I think He already sees you as a robber. You have robbed Him of His glory that is due to Him. You gave the glory to Money instead. Doing business with money is God's work for you or else you won't do it. In short, Money is your God and you will only serve it. The Lord Jesus Christ never did all this. He even resented the corrupt power the world offered Him to be their king in order to save him from the ordeal. He said firmly to them, "my kingdom is not of this world". Full stop.
You teach others to be greedy and covetous like you. You tell others that if you don't have money, you don't have God. It does not matter to you how they get that money, just show me your money, you tell them! This has been your attitude all these filthy years you have made it to be. You are filthy and you make others filthy like you. How long do you think God is going to just watch you doing this? Corrupting everyone who is trapped into your net and making them twice the children of hell. You create your own idolatrous worship while misusing His glorious name. How long you have been doing these and you have been thinking that you are of a special race and you have the right to corrupt God's work as you like. All these is coming to a drastic end. You are guilty of the vilest adultery in departing from the LORD. Your severest punishment will come directly from the LORD. No one can save you, when you are evil like that. You dare to corrupt God's work and proclaim yourself as a hero. You may have some people around you whom you think that, they will save you from what;'s coming, but they will not. They won't be able to. They are equally bad and rotten as you are. They too deserve God's severest punishment. All your arrogance and pride will bring you down and out before the LORD. It just a matter of time now.
Revelation 17:4-6
The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. This title was written on her forehead: MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.
