James 3:13-18
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness
Christformation in you is about the selfless investment of God in you through His beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. What happened in the garden of Eden was just about investment in lives. You see, the Devil came to the LORD and challenged Him that his selfish investment in man would serve better than the selfless investment of the LORD. God is holy and righteous therefore He is a selfless person. Whereas, the Devil is and was always a selfish person. If you want to know how selfish the Devil is, just observe anyone in this world who lives according to the sinful nature of the Devil in them and you will understand this. Today, the Devil is still fighting with God and trying to prove to Him that the Devil'e selfish investment in lives is doing better than God's selfless investment through His beloved Son..
God's investment of His only begotten Son is a selfless investment. Christformation in you is therefore God's selfless investment in you. The verses above will tell you what would result in each investment in you. There are two kinds of investments here. The investment of the sinful nature of the Devil in you brings every disorder and evil practice into this world and that is the "devilish wisdom" mentioned. That's what the Devil cunningly sowed into Adam and Eve. But God always wanted to sow His selfess investment into mankind. But as you know, mankind resisted it all along as in the garden of Eden, as well as we see it in the garden of Gethsemene. It's like a father who wants to sow a lasting investment through his selfess life into his children but they insists that they rather have the selfish investment instead so that they could live a selfish life for themselves and not think about others. This brings every disorder and evil practice into this world. It's some what like the Parable of the lost son, in Luke chapter 15. Let's see what happens next..... (will be back shortly)
