Listen! The LORD is calling to the city-- and to fear your name is wisdom-- "Heed the rod and the One who appointed it. Am I still to forget, O wicked house, your ill-gotten treasures and the short ephah, which is accursed? Shall I acquit a man with dishonest scales, with a bag of false weights? Her rich men are violent; her people are liars and their tongues speak deceitfully. Therefore, I have begun to destroy you, to ruin you because of your sins.
What you are still practicing today even after many warnings will return to you shortly. You don't want the LORD to forget what evil you have been practicing and are still stubbornly practicing them because you have chosen to harden your heart like a rock in your sins. The crushing of that rock-hard heart has begun finally. This time around you will go right down to the bottom and be struck like never before. You will hit shipwreck. Your heart has been evil and you always delighted to see the shipwreck of others and that same shipwreck is returning to you manifold times. You won't know which way it will be coming for you. It will come directly from the LORD. You have remained arrogant, very arrogant even after many, many warnings. You deserve what's coming for you. You bravely, without the fear of the LORD dig a 'pit' for others, but now you are about to fall into the biggest 'pit' that has been reserved for you all this while. You thought you could fool everyone, even the LORD by all your cheating works that you thought are hidden from Him. How many people are made to suffer under your continuous and unrepentant evil ways? Your ill-gotten treasures speak and the short ephah (cheating) speaks for itself. How long have you persisted in your oppression of those who are vulnerable to your cheating ways? You threatened the poor using the 'rich' around you. Those who became 'rich' by stealing, cheating, lying and devilish deception, Your name has been changed to 'Wicked House'. O Wicked House! Your destruction has begun. It comes directly from the LORD for you. You did not take heed of the LORD's warning for you.The curse began when the "accursed" thing that you have in your hands right now from your cheating works was found in you by the LORD. You did not know you were being tested with it? You thought that you were mightier than the LORD. What's going to happen to you will show you and others that the LORD rules over you and everyone else. You must learn the valuable lesson this time and forever never seek to 'stick up' your head over the rest of the people. There will be no more 'head' left in you for you to be able to to stick it up again. Ruin comes to you because of your stubborn and unrepentant sins. You will not be able to avoid or escape from this coming ruins. Your ruins will be great and frightening. You have gone around threatening everyone but now the Great and All-powerful One is against you! You will be ruined to become nothing in everyone's eyes. You have 'stuck up' your head to be somebody far too long now, You will learn that you have been a nobody all this while. What a way to learn this? Your terrible ruins has finally begun. You won't be able to judge and see where your ruins are coming from but it will surely come on you. No one will be able to save you from these ruins that are coming your way! It's coming from the LORD for you! Tell those with you to run and hide!
