John 8:33-36
They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?" Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
You still want to be a slave of the sinful nature of the Devil in you, when you can be freed from it. The Lord Jesus Christ has come to truly set you free from the sinful nature of the Devil in you but you don't want it. Do not believe the liar who says you cannot be freed from the sinful nature of the Devil in you. He or she might say this to have you accompany him or her to eternal destruction. They do not want to sin alone, so they want your company. Do you want to live a life of a slave to accompany others down the pathway of their destruction? You will be destroyed with them too. You chose to blindly follow them to your own destruction. You made up your mind to be a slave of the sinful nature of the Devil in you. You can truly be freed from it. Why do you still want to be a slave, when you can be freed from it forever? For the pleasures? These pleasures don't last, so they will keep you as a slave to it, making you return to them always. Do you want to wreck your whole life by being a slave of the sinful nature of the Devil in you? Think and then, turn away from it, today! The Lord Jesus Christ will truly set you free. Come to Him and surrender your life to Him. Maybe, you have never come to Him directly before and seek your freedom from the sinful nature of the Devil in you. Only He can free you from the sinful nature of the Devil in you, no one else can! Turn to Him now and don't ever turn back to sinful living!
Romans 6: 16-18
Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey--whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
