James 3:13-18
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition,there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.
There were inevitably two kinds of everything from the start of this world in the garden of Eden. Even now, there continues to be two different kinds of everything. Anyone who claims otherwise must be deliberately opposing what God has created and allowed things to be instituted in that order of things. They simply think of themselves to be greater than God. Simply rebellious, simply sinful are they. There are surely two different kinds of wisdom on this Earth. No one will be able to refute that. Look at the way things are going in two different directions. Of course, the Devil's kingdom is a very confused kingdom. When they say "peace" they don't actually mean that peace but war. When they say "love" they don't actually mean that love but hate. When they say "unity", they actually mean disunity. Everything happens in the opposite direction in the kingdom of the Devil but yet they keep on claiming they are right. That's the problem now. They consider themselves intelligent at that. Anyone can be intelligent at anything but what really makes the difference to mankind is the two kinds of wisdom. This two kinds of wisdom comes from two different kinds of natures. One comes from the sinful nature of the Devil and the other from the divine nature of Christ. We notice from the verses above that the wisdom that comes from the sinful nature of the Devil is destructive, if not self destructive. Every disorder and evil practice on this Earth comes from this destructive sinful nature of the Devil. The divine nature of Jesus Christ is first of all pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive to the will of the LORD, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. When these parts of Christ's divine nature are formed or filled in us through our obedience to His words, heavenly Wisdom has filled us. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself is the Wisdom of God that came from heaven. Wisdom is a person here. When this Person fills your born again spirit, you will have the heavenly Wisdom formed in you. When you keep obeying the sinful nature of the Devil in you, then the Devil fills you to your destruction. Human Intelligence is nothing, it will be destroyed. Clever systems of this world is nothing, it will be destroyed too.
1 Corinthians 1:18-24
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
