Shallow Experiences Against Spiritual Depth

Ephesians 3:16-19
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

This was the apostle Paul's prayer for the believers in Ephesians; spiritual depth and not shallow experiences that worldly people yearn for. What these worldly 'believers' yearn for is something that will keep them assured of their food, healing, clothes, houses, prosperity and everything else that's skin-deep. They wouldn't want anything to do with the depth of their inner being. As long as everything is provided for their outward appearance like costly cosmetics, expensive clothes, jewelry to show off, luxury cars, big houses, physical health to show off, they will be satisfied. They don't care to grasp how wide, long, high and deep is the divine nature of Christ so that they could have the whole of it formed in them. They are there to enjoy the things of this world in the name of Christ. Anything else of Christ our Lord they wouldn't care. They just don't bother to fill their born again spirits (if they have one) with the measure of the fullness of God through Christ. They do not care about being rooted and established with the divine nature of Christ fully formed in them. They don't seek these things of Christ because it will require their obedience to everything He has commanded. They do not want to obey Him but they want all the skin-deep benefits from Him for free. They do not want to "carry their cross" of obedience to the heavenly Father like Christ our Lord did while He was on Earth. if the world threatens them, they would join them. All the world got to threaten them is to say "you won't have food to eat, expensive clothes to wear,cars, houses, salaries, entertainment and enjoyment, they would surrender to them. Foolish beings! They do not want depth but everything shallow! Their evil inclinations makes us doubt them, if they truly belong to Jesus. How can you belong to Jesus Christ our Lord but obey the sinful nature of the Devil in you? 

1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
