Joshua 5:13-15
Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, "Are you for us or for our enemies?" "Neither," he replied, "but as commander of the army of the LORD I have now come." Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, "What message does my Lord have for his servant?" The commander of the LORD's army replied, "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy." And Joshua did so.
My stand is the same as the stand of the commander of the Lord's army. I have already enrolled to be in God's eternal army just as the Lord Jesus Christ did from the beginning. For a very long time now, I have been very confused to where I actually belong. I belong to God's army at God's right hand, now I know. The commander at God's right hand is the Lord Jesus Christ. It will be an eternal risk for me to take either of the sides. What if, they are not the eternal army of the Lord? The safest side to be is on the side of the commander of the Lord's army. That's an eternal army. A trustworthy army. Trustworthy in a sense that it does not turn to the world. It is always on God's side. Faithful to the LORD forever and ever.
The Lord Jesus Christ, when he was tried before Pilate, everyone deserted him, including the 12 disciples whom He chose. He stood alone. He stood firm on God's side as He said He would to Joshua in the Old Testament, as in the passage above. He never took sides based on the existing religions, races, nationalities, sects, or even any human organizations. He stood with God the Father to do His will on earth till the end, even by facing death on the cross. He did not change by the threats of evil men and women. He stood firm on God's side always.
We should never take sides with men and women who are not on God's side. They may seem like they are. They will impose on you as though they are. You must not easily fall prey to this. Even the very elect will be decieved, if you are not very careful. The Lord Jesus Christ took no political sides either. But, Pilate said they called you the" King" He replied: "I am as you said" but, not the type of kings you have on Earth, I am different. I am the King of Righteousness. I am of the eternal Kingdom. But, Pilate threatened Him; don't you want to be on the people's side. No, not on the side of unrighteousness. He stood on God's side firmly till the last puff of His breath. Evil men and women tried to change and crush His will to join their sides but He did not budge at all. He stood firmly on God's side. Do not be intimidated by silly men and women who bend towards their races, religions, political sides, sects and the sinful nature of the Devil in them. Do not give in, even if, they promise you wealth of this world to trade for your eternal enrollment into God's army. Stand firmly on the righteousness of Christ to be stablished on this Earth. Do not settle for the righteousness that is cunningly tainted with worldliness, material and wealth-seeking stand. They only want to show that their race is a powerful race. Their intentions are no good. They despise others but promote their own race. Promoting race is about promoting power grip over others and this comes from the sinful nature of the Devil in you. You are no different. You still obey the sinful nature of the Devil in you, even though you promote yourself to be 'righteous' in the eyes of men. It's just a cover-up for greed and covetousness for money, fame and power which you have been indoctrinated by parents who obey the sinful nature of the Devil in themselves. Imagine the indoctrination from young.
Be firm like the Lord Jesus when He was tempted with worldly wealth and power over others. Till the end, Christ our Lord did not seek power over others as Herod and his evil gang were mad about, even from the day Christ was born in Bethlehem. The coming of the three wise men from the East who followed the star, gave Herod the shivers Do you see men seeking power over others, today? The Lord Jesus Christ never did that. If He had, He wouldn't have been crucified on the cross. This is how we know if you are from the army of the Lord or not. If you are not, you will start imposing your human authority everywhere demanding that men respect you. The Lord Jesus never did that. He had authority given by the Father in Heaven which is different from the authority you see around you today.
Shortly, the Lord Jesus Christ is returning with His great army to this earth to defeat the Antichrist(the Beast) the False Prophet( the Beast's Accomplice) and the Dragon( the Devil)-who is God's main Adversary. All those who have been deceived and have stubbornly followed them will be anihilated together with them. The Devil will be thrown into God's prison, into the abyss and later into the lake of fire.There will be war all the way. Get ready for that war and do not sell your 'birth-rights' here for money, wealth and position that is temporal. You would have to trade your soul eternally to them for that. Be firm and stand on God's side at all costs, like Christ our Lord did till the last puff of His breath. He is the perfect example that we could trust. He was born into a powerful race, religion, sect, background and historical roots but yet He did not live to promote them but stood firm on the side of the heavenly Father. He never took their sides even when He was pressured to do so. He was threatened, assaulted and killed yet He did not budge. What a perfect example of faithfulness to the heavenly Father. Today, we have men and women who take sides based on wealth and possessions of this world and dare to admit that they are on the side of the commander of the LORD's army at the same time. They will find out soon, what they have been doing all this while and how they have purposefully misled many into continually obeying the sinful nature of the Devil in them. They themselves are going to pay an eternal price for all these evil pretence.
Luke 12:4-5
"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.
