1 Corinthians 12:13-14
For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free —and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
So, this means that race is out. Many of us claim that we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ and our God, but we still hold on to our racial pride and arrogance. All forms of pride and arrogance proceed out of the sinful nature of the Devil in us. There is no exception for belonging to a special race here. Here in these verses above, it is confirmed; we are never recognised according to our races after we have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. The start of that recognition is when we first drink the one Spirit of God to become the one body of the Lord Jesus Christ . When do we drink the one Spirit? When we first believe in Jesus Christ our Lord and on all His completed work on the cross and that the Father in Heaven had sent Him for the sole purpose of our redemption. When we make that genuine decision to turn away from our sins and start on our journey to put to death all the misdeeds of the sinful nature of the Devil in us. We "drink in" God the Holy Spirit here. Why "drink"? We "drink" because we acknowledge to God that we are thirsty. That, only through Christ who gives us the living waters, our thirst can be quenched. We humbly acknowledge that.
After we drink in the one Spirit, we will start putting to death the sinful nature of the Devil in us. Two of the most dangerous misdeeds of the sinful nature of the Devil in us is pride and arrogance. This pride and arrogance detrimentally shows up through many ways. One of the ways it shows up very often is the pride and arrogance related to one's race. This is dangerous for the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. As long as you hold on to this pride and arrogance in you and not give it up, you are publically anouncing that you haven't had that "drink" of life yet. You are still cherishing and wallowing in the sinful nature of the Devil in you. You ackowledge through your words and actions that you "prefer the old wine" than the new wine, which you drink in as God the Holy Spirit. So, you declare openly that you will continue to obey the sinful nature of the Devil and do not act to put to death the evil misdeeds of pride and arrogance related to your special race, which you have always been taught to take pride in from the days you knew how to think. But, when you "drink in" the Spirit of God or also known as God the Holy Spirit, something happens within you. The battle to put to death the sinful nature of the Devil in you begins.
So, how come you are still found with this pride and arrogance that is related to your race even after so many years of believing in Him, as you confidently claim. By now, there should be zero pride and arrogance of the race you belong to, if you had genuinely believed in Christ. How come you still behave as though your race is the most special race on this Earth, when it is not? Have you really "drink" the one Spirit of God? I am beginning to doubt. Read the verses over and over again and you will find there is no race after you have acted to "drink" that one Spirit of God. That unity of the Spirit is suppose to be found in you, but why are you always thinking too highly, promoting and exalting your own race as though all the other races have to beg from you? Do you mean to say that it is more pleasant to live according to the sinful nature of the Devil in you than obey God's Spirit with your evil words and actions? You are a very bad example of those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. As I always say, you can fool men who are like you, but you cannot fool God the Father, His Son and His Spirit in you.
