James 3: 13-18
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness
From the garden of Eden it has been this way. You make the choice. It continues on till this day. Which of these two wisdoms should fill you? You make that choice and you face the consequences of your own choice. Whichever you choose, you will be filled with it. Think carefully, if you haven't made that choice yet. The choice is yours and yours alone! The One who is going to judge your choice is God and God alone! Be ready to answer Him when the time comes. Don't put the blame on others around you for your wrong choice. You shall face it before God, soon!
Do you realize that deeds done in humility comes from wisdom. Which wisdom, you may ask? Notice the "but" after this sentence in the Bible passage above. This wisdom is heavenly wisdom. Christ is the wisdom of God. He is the heavenly Wisdom of God. Here, wisdom is person. So is devilish wisdom, it's a person too and it's the Devil. If you do deeds done out of humility, you have the heavenly wisdom in you. Let me tell you, it is not easy doing deeds out of the humility in you. You cannot pretend to be humble. It is very difficult to pretend to be humble. Christ must be formed in you, in order for you to be humble. You cannot just put up a front of being humble. It won't work. It just won't work. Humility is only found in Jesus Christ our Lord. There is no other example of humility. He is truly the humble One. In fact, if you want to see true humility, take a good look into His life and learn from Him. Why not go one step further than that and obey everything He has commanded? Only then will this part of His divine nature be formed in you permanently. You can't make yourself humble temporarily. Just give up your pretence now! It feels very awkward being around you whenever you pretend to be humble. We feel like puking! Like vommiting blood, actually! It's so artificial like you have shamelessly used thick make-up to cover your ugliness, looking like a pale-faced ghost! Scary to think that you can be so artificial and unreal while shamelessly using His very holy and reverent name that is above every other name, all for your own selfish pursuits and gains.
Colossians 2: 18-23
Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such people also go into great detail about what they have seen, and their unspiritual minds puff them up with idle notions. They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow. Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.
