Revelation 7:13-17
Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes--who are they, and where did they come from?" I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, "they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. 'Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,' nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center before the throne will be their shepherd; 'he will lead them to springs of living water.' 'And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.'"
Take special note of this statement: "they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple". It was not a weekly affair or twice weekly affair for them. "Day and night they were in His presence". That would mean they were in God's presence all the twenty four hours in a day. Is that possible while you are on this sinful Earth? Remember, "they washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" through the great tribulation on this Earth. They have been in the practice of being in God's presence twenty fours in a day, seven days in a week and all fifty-two weeks of each year. At one time, I used to think, is it possible to do such a thing on this Earth. Now, I have changed my mind on this or rather my mind has been renewed into the mind of Christ. It's possible! If your mind has been renewed into the mind of Christ, day and night He fills your thought and whole being. Your thoughts are always on Him. At one time, I was struggling with this, but now no more!
Now it's possible to be in God's presence twenty-four hours in a day. Do you know that, even though Christ was on this Earth, He was also in God's presence twenty-four hours in a day. We saw Him disappearing in the nights to the mountain to pray alone but that was nothing. The truth that He was in God's presence twenty-four hours in a day even though He went about ministering to everyone He was led to, is staggering. He was talking to the disciples but He was in God's presence at the same time. How could this happen? It can happen. Do you know that you can't just one day be found in God's presence suddenly for twenty-fours in a day. You have to be in that practice here on Earth. Do you know that's how Jesus Christ our Lord is at God's right hand now, making intercession for us twenty-four hours in a day. It's possible. That's what He did while He was on Earth. That's exactly what He continues to do right now too.
Hebrews 5: 5-10
In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father." And he says in another place, "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek." During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek
