1 Corinthians 1:26-31
Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let those who boast boast in the Lord."
The Lord Jesus Christ became an outcast Himself on the same Earth He had created. This is not uncommon today. We see people fighting for their rights as though they owned the Earth and everything in it. One group says all this is mine and another says, no, no, no, all that is mine! The fighting goes on and on, non-stop. I was here first, you came later so all this is mine. No, no, no, we have all the equal rights, that is mine too. In the midst of all these fights, they forgot God who had created this Earth. What do you call all these? Selfishness, greed, covetousness, irreverence, lack of fear of God ? The strange thing is that they still call on God's name. They still use His name for their own selfish reasons. They boast in their riches that they have fought and won over, that God is with them. We just don't know what to say to this kind of foolishness. We see a different example altogether here below in this following passage. This one they do not want to follow and do as it says.
Phillipians 2: 3-7
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same attitude of mind Christ Jesus had: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
He is the Son of God and rightfully owns everything in this universe but He chose to make Himself nothing in everyone's eyes because He considered Himself a servant. Today, we see lot's of bosses bossing around. They walk like big bosses with their hands to their backs. They shake hands like we owe them a living. Their arrogant eyes dares to stare at you. Why do they do that? They have what you call "power in their hands". Everyone is in their grips. We never saw the Lord Jesus Christ doing all these? Where did they learn this from? Must be from the world! Which world? We will show you which world.... read another passage below. This is the world that they had leant from. If after reading this you still continue living the same way, we just do not know what to say anymore...
Luke 16:19-31
"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' " 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "
The outcasts of this Earth, from the Lord Jesus Christ to His disciples-( minus Judas Iscariot )and all the rest of the outcasts in your eyes are going to outclass you in God's presence. You already live in a certain high-class now. So you will be low class there or even be of no class there. Abraham also lived as an outcast on Earth, leaving everything behind and obeying God. Even, the one and only son, Isaac who was a promised child given to him and Sarah at their very old age was told to be placed on the altar for sacrifice to see if, they really loved and obeyed God above everything and everybody else. To check if anything in this world will hold them back from obeying God. They proved it with their obedience to the LORD that nothing could hold them back from obeying God. What about you and me today? Will anything hold us back from obeying everything Christ had commanded? Oh! Please don't ask us what did He command! Go and find out for yourself.
