"Are you so dull?" he asked. "Don't you see that nothing that enters you from the outside can defile you? For it doesn't go into your heart but into your stomach, and then out of your body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.) He went on: "What comes out of you is what defiles you. For from within, out of your hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile you."
Outwardly you may appear as successful to everyone, but inwardly you have failed to put to death the sinful nature of the Devil in you. Do you think, you can face God again with that sinful nature of the Devil still in you. You were given a chance of a life-time to put it to death through Christ and the power of God's Spirit in you, but you blew it away by choosing to live according to that evil nature. Now, who is going to face the music with God, you or me? Everything you said and did pointed to the sinful nature of the Devil in you. You always promoted through your proud lifestyle and your arrogant speech that seeking the formation of the divine nature Christ in you is a waste of time, now, face the music with God for eternity. You don't even know what direction you are heading. The path of self-destruction to be precise. You think you are smart, you are not! You are under a delusion and you do not know it. How foolish!
2 Thessalonians 2: 8-12
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
Do you see something different here? The Lord Jesus Christ and His disciples whom He had chosen always appeared to the world as a failure. They were bullied around, mocked at, spit at, chased out, followed by spies, opposed vigorously, violently treated, despised, rejected, down-trodden, made to look like dirt before others, laughed at, threatened by numbers and human strength, crucified, tortured and killed brutally. Who do you think displayed true strength? Is it called strength, when you lose your temper? Is it called strength, when you display violence? Is it called strength, when you threaten, bully and kill? Isn't true strength, exercising patience even when you are tried and tested? Isn't true strength holding oneself from harming others even when you are harmed? Why did the Lord Jesus Christ and the disciples react that way? Why didn't they retaliate and cause real harm to those who attacked them using God's power even when that power was fully at their disposal? Wasn't that true strength? True strength comes from God's nature-the nature of Christ which is also the nature of God the Father. We who believe and obey Christ have this power formed in us, but why don't we unleash it the way the world does it? Because, we always believed that if I were to strike you in response to your evil behaviour, you will still be able to get up and walk around tomorrow or the day after, but if the the LORD were to strike you in response to our prayer, you would not be able to get up at all. We have witnessed this time and time again in our lives and we teach others this truth too.
Romans 12:17-21
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
