1 Corinthians 12: 22-26
On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
What is VIP today could be a nobody tomorrow. No one knows what will happen tomorrow. Only the LORD knows and decides who is what. There are many interpretations for the letters V.I.P. We will come to that later. What is VIP here, could be a VIP with a derogatory meaning there. You can fool man and woman like you on this sinful Earth, but you can never fool God. The picture often painted is that, VIPs in this world are highly respected even by God Himself. This isn't true. Based on the verses above, the opposite is true. So, where does this practice come from. It comes from the world.
Why is it adopted even amongst God's people who are bought with the precious blood of the Lamb? For fear of being persecuted by the world. Is the world greater than God who created it?
We are taking about the body of Christ here. It's not your body or the body of anyone else from the world. Who decides what should be done in His body. It is His body, therefore only Christ should decide what should and should not be done. The injustices of the world has crept into His body of which He is the Head. Who is responsible for committing this serious sin? Who is responsible for bringing in this evil practice of the world into His body? Whoever it is, don't you think that person or persons deserve very severe punishment from the LORD? Who are they to decide what should be done otherwise in His body, when it is already written how it should be practiced, long ago. Who are they to change it? Have they no fear of God? Are they not afraid of what He could do to them for this corrupt behaviour? It must have been for money. Everything points to greed. Greed for money, power, fame, recognition and even organizational pride and evil arrogance. Just look at the way they conduct themselves? Like big bosses, who need to be worshipped and adored. Is that what Christ had commanded us to do? Where is this coming from? Think, think, think before it is too late!
