Matthew 16-20
"Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them. "Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.' For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man 'unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him 'unclean.' "
You may want to know what type of deadly poison spills out through the uncontrolled tongue. What comes out from the mouth does not only defile you but others around you too. The defiling kills. They try to 'kill' others through their evil slander, false testimony, bad-mouthing and lies. They belong to the father of all lies, the Devil. They operate directly from their master, the sinful nature of the Devil within them. Anything that comes out of the sinful nature of the Devil in you defiles, even though it may sound like 'good advice'. Their 'good' is bad for you. The sinful nature of the Devil in you can only act through an unbridled tongue. When the tongue does not know self control, it defiles everything it comes into contact with. Unbridled or uncontrolled behavior comes directly from the sinful nature of the Devil in you. The Devil has got no good behavior to show. It uses words like "idiosyncratic", "lunatic", "Beelzebub" and many more. The Devil shows this bad behavior because his time is very short here on Earth. Many have deserted their company. Many are going to leave soon. Let the Devil show his true color now. Many more will leave him. Many are returning to Jesus Christ our Lord. Some are still being held captive to sin. They started sinful relationships with the Devil and they owe him allegiance now. They cannot be freed from him that easily. They are being drawn deeper and deeper into sinful living. They will be freed soon. Only Christ our Lord can free them from the Devil's evil clutches. False accusations, slander, bad-mouthing and lies come from the sinful nature of the Devil and overtake them. They are brave enough to accuse blindly because they do not have the fear of the LORD. The Devil is the Accuser. That's what he did to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Devil accused Christ our Lord of being 'blasphemous' and killed Him on the cross. But when Christ rose from the dead, then the Devil and his evil children knew who was 'blasphemous'. They said he had a demon. Look who is calling who a demon. Look who is calling who idolatrous. Look who is calling who a witch-craft practitioner. They are inside because they want to use that licence to practice sin. If outside, they won't be able to exert their evil authority to make everyone sin, like they do without any qualms. They bravely use the name of Christ to do this, week after week. Now, they know that their time is short. Like the Pharisees during the times of the Lord, their tongues are getting restless. They are getting restless because they cannot sin freely now. Every evildoing has been happening inside ever since. They have been misusing the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. They have become very brave now. They think that they have become great and the Lord Jesus Christ cannot do anything to them. Remember, what one of it's kind said recently about Christ our Lord and dared to stir controversy by using unbridled language on Him. Soon, we will know who is inside and who is outside? That's what they challenged Jesus Christ our Lord too.
Hebrews 13:12-15
And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name.
