Revelation 2: 14-16
Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: You have people there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin by eating food sacrificed to idols and by committing sexual immorality. Likewise you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
What was common between the teaching of Balaam and the Nicolaitans, They both taught others how to obey the sinful nature of the Devil in them in the name of God. They subtly taught others to continue obeying the urges, passion and evil desires of the sinful nature of the Devil within them. What were they after with their teachings? They were after the things of the world, the lust of the flesh and things that they could arrogantly boast about. I will fight against such people who not only sin themselves but also teach others to sin too, to go after the things and pleasures of the world says the LORD. It's no different today. The sword that comes from the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ is what these people need. Now, there is time given for you to repent but you are still stubborn and rebellious like a mule. You keep committing the same sins without the fear of the LORD. You think that you are too great that the Lord Jesus Christ has to come Himself and bow before you. Who do you think you are? You take His warnings very lightly. Your heart has become very proud and hardened in sins. You think that you are always right and the Lord is always wrong. Just who do you think you are? With one word from My mouth I can destroy you forever and ever, says the Lord. but, I am giving a chance for you to repent. Repent now! Turn away from pleasing the sinful nature of the Devil in you today while you still have that chance.
Galatians 5:19-21
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
