MARK 7:21-23
Genesis 4:10-12
The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth."
Do you feel restless to sin continuously? Sin has been crouching at your doorstep because your father Adam welcomed the sinful nature of the Devil into you. Now, you have been warned of your anger and jealousy earlier that, if you obey it as a slave would do, sin will become your master to tell you what to do next. Once you are it's slave, doing what it tells you to do, you will eventually become a restless wanderer and unproductive person on Earth. In fact, everything you touch will become a curse because the land is cursed after you have shed blood. The sinful nature of the Devil in you brings the curses upon you, when you have become it's slave to do what it tells you. Abel was Cain's younger brother born to his parents Adam and Eve. Cain killed Abel because of his jealousy towards him. Jealousy turned into anger and anger into murder and murder into bloodshed. Bloodshed brought the curses of God onto the land. The land was cursed by God. The land won't be able to recover from that curses forever, until it is wiped out. Why is blood so precious? As humans, no one can create blood, only God can, we all know that truth well, yet we want to shed it freely. Wicked men and women shed the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, the blood of the Righteous One of God freely at Calvary. What had happened after that? Curses after curses came upon that land. Until today, there is still bloodshed. Until it is wiped out, the curses will carry on till the end. The worst is yet to come. Adam and Eve, each received a curse of their own from God for their sins committed. The Devil too was condemned eternally for that sin. Now, Cain adds to it. curses after curses and curses don't end, even after stern warnings have been spoken through God's prophets on Earth. The Earth keeps adding curses by the day because of bloodshed until the whole Earth is destroyed by the wicked of this world. There will come a need to destroy this Earth by God because of the curses of bloodshed. The blood of Jesus Christ shed for us on and on the way to the cross washes us from our sins. The thirty-nine stripes on His back that He received heals our diseases and sickness. The blood of Jesus Christ is a better sacrifice than Abel's blood. Abel's blood only cried out for himself but the blood of Jesus Christ cries out for the whole world and their sins that they are bound with. So, by your actions based upon whom you obey, you are either a descendant of Abel or Cain. Abel showed the first coming of Christ to Earth through his own sacrificial death. Now if you still continue doing the same things Cain did, then aren't you a descendant of Cain. Through the years, nearly six thousand in all, things have not changed much. People don't seem to learn at all. They have been shown the Way but they are stubborn as ever, as Cain was. Don't you think that greater curses will come from God upon the land? This time, we don't think the curses can be wiped away, until God wipes away the land He has created because of the sins of man that seems to be increasing, not decreasing.Man have hardened their hearts in sin due to greed, covetousness, jealousy, pride, arrogance, lust, strife, selfishness and other forms of wickedness. We'd rather be a direct descendant of Jesus Christ our Lord without being defiled by any of these sins. Only through His lineage we can be freed from these sins. If the Sons sets you free, you are free indeed! No one else can!
1 John 3:12-16
Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
