2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
The Devil always tries to intimidate others who are afraid of him. That's typically his evil nature. God is never like that. It is not in God's divine nature to intimidate anyone even though no one is as great as Him in all the universe. He never intimidates anyone. Instead, the Devil who is just another creation of God who is waiting to be destroyed, likes intimidating others, especially the called, chosen and faithful of God in Christ our Lord. But, God says to us, "He cannot touch you". If he touches you, he is finished, he knows that. Just like the Lord Jesus Christ, the Devil tried to 'touch' the Lord Jesus Christ by intimidating, threatening, persecuting and even killing even on the cross but He came alive again from the dead to finish off the Devil 's power of death over sinful man. Now, anyone who believes, loves and obeys every word He has commanded, will have eternal life in himself, wheres as the Devil and his minions will be thrown into the lake of fire to be destroyed forever and ever.
God has never given us a spirit of timidity, where we will feel intimidated by someone. Never! On top of that, He has given us a new spirit of power, love and self-discipline so that we only obey Christ and not the sinful nature of the Devil in us. He has given us the self-discipline to put to death the sinful nature of the Devil in us. So, who are those who go around intimidating the called, chosen and faithful of God? It's those who keep obeying the sinful nature of the Devil in them until they are finally destroyed forever and ever. Do you know only cowards try to intimidate others.? Do you also know that the Devil himself is a coward? Read the book of Job to learn more about this. The day is drawing near for the cowards, so they feel threatened. Very near now, is the day of their annihilation, HALLELUJAH!
Acts 4:29-31
Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus." After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
