"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
If many enter through the wide gate, who are these many? If only a few enter through the narrow gate, who are these few? This a prophecy spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ about the coming days. The fulfillment of this prophecy had started on the day He ascended to the heavenly Father's right-hand, after He had been victorious over death by defeating the Author of Death through His glorious resurrection. Today, this prophecy has become truth.. This truth will come to pass in the end. The Lord Jesus Christ does not lie. He is the truth, Himself! He doesn't say anything that will not come to pass. All His prophecies will come to pass in the end.
If this prophecy has come to pass today, who are these "many" and these "few" who find it? Find what, you may ask? Find life! What life, you may ask? Yes, eternal life! Is it that easy to find eternal life? No, because it took the LORD so long to reveal His Son who has this life with Him. He is that Tree of life who was hidden in the garden of Eden. He took the form of flesh to give that eternal life to us who believe, love and obey Him. It's not that easy. It took Him so long to send His Son who gives life at the right time. The recipients have to be ready to receive that eternal life He had promised. We know how difficult it was for the Lord Jesus Christ to reveal this eternal life to mankind. Today, if they have made it to look so easy for you to get eternal life, isn't that something that is not of God. Isn't that counterfeit Christianity? Watch carefully what the Lord Jesus Christ said here. "But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it". Does that seem easy to get eternal life from what He had said? So, who are the many? We thought, many are suppose to be Christians, right? But the many are heading towards their own destruction. How is that? Only a few will find eternal life? Who are these "few"then?
If many of the Christians are counterfeit Christians because they had made it very easy to gain eternal life, then the "few" who find life, who are they? They are the "few" who found gaining eternal life in Christ to be difficult and a hard life. What was so hard and difficult for them? It's not easy putting to death the sinful nature of the Devil in you, to replace it with the formation of the divine nature of Christ in the born again spirit. That is why, one must be born again! If you are not born again, the divine nature of Christ cannot be formed in you because that's where it is formed. The proof of this?
The proof is in this passage from the Bible in Matthew 12:43-45. You search it out and find out for yourself. You cannot be spoon-fed all along the way. Yes, it is this spoon-feeding that you have trusted in that has kept you still a child till this day. You will never mature without the hungering for the word of God.
You cannot enter into the road of eternal life in Christ because of this spoon -feeding. You are blinded by this counterfeit Christianity that keeps promising you that gaining eternal life is just so easy. You don't have to give up pleasing the sinful nature of the Devil in you, just continue doing what you have been doing and you will still be gaining eternal life. It's easy as just saying a prayer and after that you can go back to doing what you have been doing. Just don't forget to put your offerings and pledges (in short, as much of your money here if you can). After that, you can go your own way and just show your face, once or twice a week to assure us that you are with us and you will not forget the offerings or monies due to us. Whatever you do, just remember that you are suppose to make a lot of money, so that we will all be happy together. Besides that there is nothing to worry they say to you, just enjoy life! God has asked us to enjoy life to the fullest. This is what counterfeit Christianity that leads to destruction is all about.
How, do you still want to sleep your way through and not wake up at all? Do you not want to rise up from your sleep and obey everything that the Lord Jesus Christ had commanded you? Do you still need spoon-feeding to keep you in bed? Do you not know that what you are doing is that, you have just bought yourself a ticket to your own eternal destruction and you are paying for that services with your hard earned money? Why don't you take that narrow road that leads to life instead? Why have you become so lazy? Why don't you obey Christ instead of obeying men who also please the sinful nature of the Devil in them too? Don't you know that both of you are heading for eternal destruction together? There is still some time for the Lord Jesus Christ's return. But, the problem is, we don't know when. It could be today, tomorrow, the day after or anytime, anyday.The question is what if, it is too late for you to realize what you have been doing. Wake up, now! Wake up! , we said it again and again. Listen!
Joel 1:5-12
Wake up, you drunkards, and weep! Wail, all you drinkers of wine; wail because of the new wine, for it has been snatched from your lips. A nation has invaded my land, a mighty army without number; it has the teeth of a lion, the fangs of a lioness. It has laid waste my vines and ruined my fig trees. It has stripped off their bark and thrown it away, leaving their branches white. Mourn like a virgin in sackcloth grieving for the betrothed of her youth. Grain offerings and drink offerings are cut off from the house of the LORD. The priests are in mourning, those who minister before the LORD. The fields are ruined, the ground is dried up; the grain is destroyed, the new wine is dried up, the olive oil fails. Despair, you farmers, wail, you vine growers; grieve for the wheat and the barley, because the harvest of the field is destroyed. The vine is dried up and the fig tree is withered; the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree-- all the trees of the field--are dried up. Surely the people's joy is withered away.
