Jeremiah 1:16
I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me, in burning incense to other gods and in worshiping what their hands have made.
Greatest idolatry is worshipping money. Money that your hands have made or earned, if you were to worship it, what a sin it will be in God's eyes. When do you worship money? When you will do anything to get it, like cheating, stealing, robbing, swindling, giving and accepting bribes, manipulating accounts and so on. You have worshipped money because you do not fear God. You have obeyed the sinful nature of the Devil in you to become greedy and covetous. You are really a hater of God. You do the opposite things God requires you to do. How then do you still claim that you belong to God or His Christ?
You can't wash this "dirty hands" with just soap. You have to put to death all the misdeeds of the sinful nature of the Devil in you to make your hands clean before God. The blood of Jesus our Lord can wash away these sins. It's the most powerful blood that can wash away any sin when we confess them to Him. But, do you continue with that sin once you are forgiven? Are you not required to put to death all the misdeeds of the sinful nature of the Devil in you, one by one? Do you cherish the sinful nature of the Devil in you? Are you a child of God or the Devil? Do you belong to Jesus Christ our Lord or the Devil? Whatever you say, it does not convince me that you belong to Him. You can cheat the world who don't know what the LORD requires of you, but you can never cheat the LORD.
You can escape from man but you cannot escape from the LORD for all the things you have done and your refusal to turn from them. You still cherish and condone those sins. You teach others to continue in those sins, as along as they support you financially. Money is your God and that is why you do all this without your conscience pricked. Your time has come finally. Your judgment from God has drawn near for you. All the numbers around you cannot save you. You live trusting in the strength of the people around you, who live exactly like how you live. All, we have to say is, your time has finally come. The LORD has seen all that you do secretly. He knows your evil heart and actions. He knows your motives and intentions and they are no good. They are evil. But, you put on an appearance of being good. You are that nasty person God has been waiting for to judge. You have forsaken Him long ago, but you have carried on in pretence. You deserve to be punished severely. You have taught everyone to do wrong. You have taught everyone idolatry. It's a grievous sin before the LORD. You have turned many away from the LORD to your own side. You have been evil. Don't pretend anymore! Your mask is about to be torn.
