Proverbs 8:34
Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway
Why wait on the sidelines when you can be a main player? Why wait when you can rush and do things as you please? Why give up when you can give in? Why didn't you fight your way through when you can win? Why be patient, when you can take action yourself? These are the questions that foolish people ask themselves?
Waiting on the LORD means trusting in the LORD. The longer you wait for God to avenge you, the stronger is the trust you have in the LORD. What more if, watching daily, waiting at his doorway for Him to act? What if, He takes time to act because He is a very patient and long-suffering God? Do you take action right away? Do you resort to settle matters your own way? No, that's what waiting at His doorway means. It means, at all cost, you should surrender everything to Him. He knows the best for everyone.Meanwhile, we should listen to His counsel and advice that He will act at the appropriate time. We keep on waiting for God to answer without fail. For the time being, let those who boast, boast all the more. God's day to silence them will surely come.
