Philippians 3:18-21
For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
You cannot kill truth. That's what they tried to do to the Lord Jesus Christ but they failed. Truth came alive again. Truth is still alive. Truth is lifted up higher now. Truth intercedes for the whole world so that truth will come to them again. That many more will be able to see truth and let truth be formed in them for eternity. That, like truth, they too would not die but live forever, for only truth can live forever. The Liar will die. All lies will die. The Liar is the Devil and all lies are the demons that followed him out of heaven, when they were thrown to this Earth before they are judged forever.
Revelation 12:12
Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short."
God 's time to act has come. He knows that the final destiny for every man and woman who rejects His beloved Son is destruction. They who had made their stomachs their god. That's how much they rebelliously and stubbornly hate the cross of Christ because they live pleasing the sinful nature of the Devil in them. They don't want the divine nature of Christ to be formed in them. They are enemies of the cross of Christ because they reject the divine nature of Christ. The cross is a symbol of the divine nature of Christ. We see all the different parts of the divine nature of Christ displayed on the cross of Christ, like God's love, patience, perseverance, sacrificial-love, hope, joy, peace, kindness, humility, gentleness, meekness, self-control, righteousness, mercy, grace, understanding, wisdom, submission, consideration, good-fruit and knowledge which are supposed to be formed in us when we believe, love and obey eveything Christ had commanded. They also refuse the formation of the divine nature of Christ in them because they do not want to obey God the Holy Spirit who leads them towards transformation of their sinful mind into the mind of Christ. They rather choose the things of the world that can fill their stomachs then choose Christformation that will eventually bring about the Christconformation of their imperishable bodies. They reject being filled with the doxa glory of God but instead take pleasure in pleasing the sinful nature of the Devil in them for themselves. Pleasing the sinful nature of the Devil in you is living to please the Devil indirectly.
